Birding on Siberut

The only endemic is the Mentawai Scops Owl -- said to be common.
I saw a frogmouth but failed to photograph it or make sound recordings.

Had good views on Storms Stork and Great-billed Herons.

There are many endemic subspecies though.
In general very little is known about the birds on these islands.

Watch out for Silvery Wood Pigeon,
